Hello everyone! I am back today with my penultimate empties post for this year! How crazy that there are two months left and it’s 2018! I have used up more skincare than makeup products over the past couple of months, not for any reason everything always seems to run out around the same time! So lets see what I have been enjoying using and what I’m glad to be rid of!
Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
My absolute favourite mascara! It ticks all the boxes for me, it can be layered without clumping, doesn’t flake and separates all my lashes!

No 7 Midnight Lash Mascara
On the packaging it says for spectacular volume and it has intense black pigment. Which I have to say I disagree with, it didn’t really make my lashes voluminous or dramatic. It was okay for an everyday, simple look. However after a month of use I noticed it had started to flake after a few hours wear.

Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer in Fair
I bought this concealer due to the hype from YouTubers like Zoella and Tanya Burr as well as lots of bloggers. Initially I wasn’t too impressed. I think because it was so hyped up as an amazing concealer, I wasn’t amazed by it. It was meh. The colour match was slightly too dark but once blended out it was fine. It was okay, didn’t completely cover up my dark circles, but being pale doesn’t help with that either. So I used it mainly for spot concealing or covering redness. After a while I noticed it started to break my skin out where I used it.
Repurchase – Probably not
Soap & Glory The Fab Pore Face Mask
When I first applied it it tingled my skin but not in an irritating kind of way and went after a few minutes. The mask smelt nice and when I took it off there was a lot of juice left on my skin when I took the mask off, when usually there’s no juice as the mask has dried completely. It also left my skin feeling tingly and fresh. The mask itself it quite thin and is the first face mask I’ve tried that didn’t slid my face when stood upright. With the juice left over from the mask I used a cotton bud to remove/rub in the excess. In the morning I noticed the pores around my chin and nose had shrunk.

Nuxe Anti-Fatigue Moisturising Cream
This didn’t break my skin out or irritate it. The packaging recommended it to be used in the morning, so I did. It’s quite a thick cream and kept my skin hydrated.
Repurchase – No as not Cruelty Free
No 7 Protect & Perfect Intense Advanced Eye Cream
It hydrated under my eyes and I enjoyed using it. Whilst there was nothing special about this eye cream, it was good for using in the morning to stop concealer creasing under the eyes and keeping the under eye area hydrated and ready for the day!

No 7 Beautiful Skin Oil Free Eye Makeup Remover
This is a really good makeup remover and it didn’t irritate my skin or break me out. It didn’t irritate my eyes or burn the skin around my eyes when removing lash glue. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging. The lid unscrews leaving a big hole for all the product to come out, like a nail varnish remover bottle. For me it just wastes products as too much can come out, or if you accidentally knock it over then most the bottle is gone. Which surprisingly I didn’t do, given how usually I can be clumsy!
Repurchase – As much as I like the formula for me the packaging just puts me off!
Origins Original Skin Renewal Serum with Willow Herb
I am not someone who is usually into using serums, if I’m honest the ones I have used I have never noticed the benefits on my skin. With this sample size one it was the same, I did notice my skin felt a little softer in the mornings, but nothing dramatically different to make me change my mind on buying serums.
Repurchase – No
That is it for this penultimate empties post! Thank you so much for reading! What is your favourite skincare item? Until next time!
