Hi everyone! I am so ready for the weather to brighten up, it has been such a grey day today! Today’s post is all about the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner, I bought these not long after they came out in Boots last year. I can’t remember where I first saw them, I think it was on Holly Boon’s YouTube channel and she said how good they were and they were only £4! So of course I had to try the liner out for myself!
They are described on Boots.com as:
Buh-bye creamy lip colours! See ya shimmery shades! A velvety, matte lip is an absolute must and we’ve got just the goodie to help you get it done right: Suede Matte Lip Liner.
Available in 27 richly pigmented hues, these pencils were created with colours from a few NYX Professional Makeup fan faves in mind–the Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick, Matte Lipstick and Soft Matte Lip Cream to be exact.
Every shade goes on super smooth and provides the perfect base for the NYX Professional Makeup much-loved matte lippies.
I initially picked up the shades Cannes and Stockholm as I love these shades in the Soft Matte Lip Cream collection and are my top go to shades. Before I tried them I wasn’t convinced these would be creamy as the lip liners I had tried previously, from MAC and a L’oreal, had been really drying and I was put off of lip liners. However I was happily surprised and went back to pick up a red, Kitten Heels.
These are so creamy and apply so nicely! I do have slightly dry lips sometimes and they don’t sit in the cracks of my lips or dry them out when applying. I also find they don’t drag across the lips when applying them, they glide on nicely.
For £4 you really can’t go wrong with these lip liners, they are super comfortable to wear, super affordable and super pigmented. Can I use the word super any more!? The Suede Matte Lip Liners are hands down the best lip liners I have ever currently used. I was never convinced on lip liners before I tried these, and now I feel like I need every shade they do!
Thank you for reading! What is your favourite lip liner/shade? Until next time!
