The last time I did this type of post was January 2017 (which you can read here) and as you can imagine between then and now I have definitely collected a few more things I have been influenced to buy! I have split it into high end and drugstore again, I didn’t realise how many things I have bought that have been influenced through blogs and YouTube!
NYX Suede Matte Lip Liners
I saw Holly Boon use this in a few of her tutorials and she raved about how good they are and I couldn’t agree more! For £4 they are an absolute steal! I used to never be convinced by lip liners as all the ones I had tried and been drying and uncomfortable to wear, but NYX have totally changed that!
Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer
After seeing so many bloggers and YouTubers rave about this, when I saw it in Brighton I knew I had to grab it. However for me it’s not what I had expected. It’s not amazing. The coverage is good but I find that the longevity isn’t there. I find that it creases and starts to break up on my skin just after a few hours.
Barry M Liquid Chrome Highlighter Drops
I had been after liquid highlight for a while and after seeing Hannah Renee use this and say how much she likes it I decided to give it a try. After swatching the shades in store I decided to pick one up and I have really enjoyed using it! I blend it in with my beauty sponge and it gives me a gorgeous glow – perfect for the warmer weather!
Mario Badescu Facial Spray
I have seen this on quite a few YouTube channels and finally decided to see what the hype was about. I really like this facial spray, it doesn’t break me out or irritate my skin. It smells nice and I really like using it either before starting makeup or after I’ve finished to give my skin a little hydration if my skin has been drier than usual.
RCMA No Colour Powder
After seeing many YouTubers rave about this setting powder, I couldn’t resist trying it for myself any more. I really like this setting powder, I find there is no white flash back or leave any white residue. Plus it helps keep combo skin under control and not look so oily! The only thing that could be improved with this product is the packaging!
Stila Magnificent Metals
It’s no secret that I adore these glitters! I had been after them for months and I really don’t know why I didn’t grab them sooner! They are super easy and quick to apply! There’s so many shades and they can make a look really pop!
I have seen Desi Perkins use these a few times on her YouTube and Snapchat as well as Carli Bybel. So when they were on offer in Debenhams earlier in the year I couldn’t resist trying them! I really like them, they are super comfortable and not sticky!
Jouer Liquid Lipstick
After seeing many a YouTuber or blogger use Jouer products I finally decided to try one of their liquid lipsticks, and to be honest I’m on the fence about this product. The formula is nice but after a few hours it becomes quite drying and uncomfortable. However, it can be layered after eating but this can make it more drying.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick
This is, hands down, the best liquid lipstick I have ever tried. After seeing some many online influencers and bloggers rave about ABH lipsticks, so when they had a gift set out for Christmas I couldn’t resist trying a few shades! I love the formula, I love that it’s not super drying and is comfortable to wear.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance Palette
Again, after seeing many influencers rave about this palette, I finally caved and bought it last year. As much as I love the formula, the shades are super pigmented I find I don’t really reach for it often. I wish I did as it was fairly pricey, but when I do use it there are many different looks that can be created with just this palette.
And those are all the things currently in my collection I have bought due to seeing them reviewed/used by beauty influencers! It’s crazy the amount of things that they can influence us to buy! What is your favourite thing you have bought thanks to a YouTuber/blogger?
Until next time
