Hello everyone, hope you are all well! I don’t usually post on a Friday nor ever in the morning! But I am going away for the weekend and so thought I would post something before I went as sometimes I find that posts don’t always go up when I schedule them! Anyway enough rambling! It has been a really long time since I bought makeup that wasn’t just a repurchase of an essential such as concealer. I have been super busy over the past few months finishing up my first year of uni and decided to wait until I finished to have a good splurge!
So on trip to Bristol me and my friend treated ourselves to lots of goodies and I thought I would share with you the things I picked up!
Our first stop was Harvey Nichols where we both picked up some Fenty Beauty. I have been wanting to try Rihanna’s makeup line since it launched. I was thinking of trying the foundation but I have a few I wanted to use up first so that’s on the list for next time! I did pick up the Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb. I am loving glossy lips this year so thought what better gloss to try than Rihanna’s!
We then went into Boots where I picked up a repurchase of my favourite Soft Matte Lip Cream shade: Cannes! I also wanted to try their brow gel so picked up Tinted Brow Mascara in the shade Brunette as my Soap & Glory one is starting to run out.
We then headed to Debenhams, where luckily for us they had a discount across the beauty counters. Urban Decay had 20% off so of course I had to pick up a few things! I repurchased their All Nighter Setting Spray and the Primer Potion as I feel like both really help my makeup to last and make a difference to the finished look!
I also picked up the Naked Skin Ultra Defining Pressed Finishing Powder in the shade Naked Medium Light. I wanted a new setting powder as I am not a fan of the NYX one. Initially I was going to try the Bare Minerals either their foundation powder or Mineral Veil however I realised I waste a lot of the RCMA loose powder as it gets super messy. Plus I am quite clumsy when it comes to dropping makeup products. So a pressed powder seems like a better option.
I then ordered the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner as I have ran out of mine and after trying another hyped up liquid liner I realised that I cannot live without this one. It also had a discount off so that was super handy!
Then during the middle of the month Urban Decay launched their new Born To Run palette, and as I am experimenting more with makeup and different makeup looks I decided that this was a palette I needed in my collection. I was kindly gifted this by a friend as we were chatting about it and I have been obsessed with it since I got it. You can check out my first impressions here!
Then on a quest to create new makeup looks and be more creative I decided to buy a new colourful palette. I had seen the Certifeye palette floating around the internet for a while and finally decided to buy it for myself and I am not disappointed! It did arrive slightly broken but that’s nothing that can’t be fixed. This palette is so good! The pigmentation is amazing and I have been really enjoying creating looks with the palette!
And those are all the makeup bits I bought! I did want to buy a new concealer but the brands I wanted to buy from didn’t have a shade that matched my skin, it was either too light and the next shade would be too orangey. I’ll have to keep on the hunt for a new one to try! Thank you for reading my little June makeup haul! Until next time!
