A little while ago I saw the XO Balm all over my social media, with fellow bloggers raving about how good it was. Curiosity got the better of me, so I messaged Charlotte, the owner, and she kindly sent me over my very own XO Balm*! As the weather is getting colder, my skin gets even drier. Which can lead to dry patches all over and eczema, I’ve tried a few moisturisers to help my dry skin and was curious to see if this one could beat them.
For £12.50 the XO Balm is described on xobalm.com as:
XO Balm treats dry, rough, sensitive or irritated skin with an effective combination of 100% natural ingredients. Suitable for the relief of eczema, contact dermatitis, and cracking from severe dry skin.
The creamy balm texture instantly hydrates and soothes, leaving a lasting protective barrier with a matte finish to nourish, rector and strengthen. XO Balm is fragrance and preservative-free making it suitable for sensitive skins.
Perfect for soothing chapped lips, nourishing dry hands and cuticles, as well as moisturising split ends. Beautifully nourishing and hydrating, a little goes a long way!
With only 4 ingredients XO Balm certainly have found a winning combination:
XO Balm is made from a blend of nature’s most effective ingredients in fighting dryness and irritation.
- Coconut oil hydrates and nourishes the skin, keeping it plump and rejuvenated.
- Beeswax acts as a protective and breathable layer; locking in moisture and protecting from damage.
- Chia Seed Oil soothes irritation and reduces inflammation
- Olive oil softens the skin and protects from environmental damage.
I have been using the XO Balm for over a few months now and I really like this little tub of magic. My skin has had some really bad dry patches that my usual moisturisers couldn’t soothe, XO Balm arrived at the perfect time. This little tub is super easy to take away on holidays and it comes with a little spatula so instead of having to dig your fingers in to get product out, you can just scoop some up! Plus a little mirror is super handy, although mine is a little dirty where the balm has got on it!
A little really does go a long way. I take half a scoop out at most, warm it up on my finger tips before applying it onto the area I need it. Whilst I have only used this on my skin and not my hair, I love this product! Plus I love that it’s a UK company that source their ingredients from other smaller UK suppliers not to mention also supporting Oxfordshire charity Give Bees a Chance, who’s work allows healthy bee populations to live and grow.
Overall I am really impressed with this balm! If you’re thinking about getting this balm for winter but unsure XO Balm even sell a sample size to try out for £2.50! Thank you Charlotte for the XO Balm I love it and cannot live without it this winter! What’s your go to moisturiser for the colder months? Thank you so much for reading, until next time
