Hello everyone, I hope you are all well! In today’s post I’m going to be talking about how I’ve started to get out of my comfort zone. Before the new year I decided to put a few things in place so I could go into the new year having already done things out of my comfort zone and I’d been putting off.
For a while I put off enquiring as I didn’t feel confident to go on my own. I decided to enquire in January as one of my goals. However, as December neared I thought it was silly of me to not do something just because it meant I’d have to do it on my own and why put it off?! So one evening I sent an email enquiring and when there was a space I paid for my first class.
Not going to lie I was super nervous before the class as I’d never gone to an exercise class on my own, I’d always gone with someone. So when I parked outside I gave myself a little pep talk and before I could overthink it I went in. Before I knew it the class was over and I had really enjoyed it. It wasn’t as daunting as I’d thought it would be, I had spoken to a few people in the class and I didn’t feel as self conscious as I’d thought I’d have felt.
Once the session had ended I felt quite proud of myself for not just putting it off and not doing something I had wanted to do. Now I have been to a few sessions and I really enjoy pole fitness! It is so fun and really good exercise!
So if you have anything you want to do but are putting it off or not sure you want to do it – just go for it! You’ve got nothing to lose and at the end you’ll know if it’s something you want to continue or you’ll be glad you tried it to know it’s not for you!
