Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer | Review

Hello everyone! I hope you are all smashing your week! I have had the Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer for a while and had been meaning to write this post fo a while. For a while I was on the hunt for a high end concealer, I wanted to treat myself and whilst I was in Edinburgh last summer I finally found one that matched my skin tone, you can see what other goodies I got here. As someone who has a pale complexion with a neutral undertone,  it can be difficult to find a pale concealer that isn’t yellow or pink toned. Many high end brands seem to do two pale concealers – one with a yellow undertone and the other pink. Or that are just look orange on me. So when Becca’s Aqua Luminous was a match I knew it was meant to be.

I picked up the lightest shade, Porcelain. For £21 you get 0.18oz of product, which compared to my fave NYX HD Concealer for £6 you get 0.11. I bought the Aqua Luminous concealer at Space NK, but it can also be bought at John Lewis or Cult Beauty. It’s described on Space NK as;

Erase imperfections from a beautiful face with the Becca Aqua Luminous Perfecting Concealer, a non-comedogenic, professional-quality concealer product. Formulated with 32% water this exquisite product has been developed to meet the needs of acne-prone skin and is appropriate for use on all skin types.

The packaging is a standard tube with a pretty shade on the cap. What I find super helpful on the packaging is that it clicks when you’ve twisted the lid all the way – so you know the product is locked in tight and no air can get in. I also really like the applicator, it’s not a standard doe foot, it’s in a tear-drop shape which brings up just the right amount of product for me to use on both eyes.

I have been using this concealer under my eyes and loving the results! I apply 3-4 dots under my eyes and blend it out with my Urban Decay The Finger brush. I find the concealer is hydrating and doesn’t make my under eyes look dry. The concealer blends out beautifully, leaving a hydrating finish. Of course it creases, but so does every concealer on me, but it doesn’t crease so badly that it’s obvious. It still looks smooth. It covers my dark circles really well and lasts all day, even in the heat the UK had over the summer last year!

The left photo above is before applying any makeup and the right is after applying the Becca Aqua Luminous Concealer under my eyes, set with a powder foundation.

Overall I am so glad I picked up this concealer! I haven’t tried many from high-end brands, but this one has definitely set the bar high! If you’re looking for a new concealer and want to treat yourself I definitely recommend this one! Thank you so much for reading, what’s your favourite concealer?
