Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick | Review

For a while I was very much on the bandwagon of the liquid lipstick. Don’t get me wrong I love a good liquid lip, but I found I had too many lipsticks to use and so more often than not they would dry up before I’d even use half the tube. So in an effort to be more conscious with what I buy I decided to invest in some classic lipsticks.

I did a lot of researching and testing to see what brand had good lipsticks as well as a good colour selection. It just so happened that I got a Smashbox Be Legendary lipstick in a gift set, it took me ages to try the lipstick as I have so many lipsticks already open. But when I did I was happily surprised! for £17.50 they are described on Boots.com as:

A collection of moisturising cream lipsticks and 10-hour, long wear matte lipsticks that are vitamin-rich and glide on saturated colour in one swipe.
Benefits:
● Silky, vitamin-fortified formula lasts 10 hours without drying or settling unevenly on the lips
● Available in a range of shades including nudes, neutrals, reds, corals, pinks, berries, browns, violets & bolds that pop on camera and stay color-true
● Cruelty free

I now have 5 shades from the collection, Bing, Jam On It, Screen Queen, Stylist and Femme Fatale all mattes. They also sell cream versions, but the matte ones I prefer as the cream ones weren’t as pigmented when swatched.

The Be Legendary lipsticks are really creamy and super pigmented. They last for hours on the lips and I found them to be so comfortable, my lips didn’t feel dry when I wore a shade for 5 hours. The only downside to these lipsticks is that they transfer and can smudge easily. As I found out when I had a cold and accidentally swiped my cupids bow when I was out, and had forgotten to bring the lipstick with me! But as long as you’re not forgetful like me and take your lipstick with you, it’s easy to correct any smudges!

Overall I love these lipsticks, whilst they are on the more pricey side I think they are so worth it. They are so comfortable to wear and so pigmented! What is your go to lipstick shade? Thank you so much for reading, until next time

Smashbox is a brand I’ve never really tried, I had one of their liquid lipsticks a few years ago and it was a gorgeous red but it didn’t last long before it dried up and I was sad to get rid of it. These bullet lipsticks sound lovely! x
