Fenty Beauty is a brand I have been wanting to try more of, I love their glosses, so when I was in need of a new eyeliner I decided to give the Flyliner a go. I picked mine up for £18 and is described on Fenty Beauty as:
A hyper-saturated, water-resistant liquid eyeliner with an innovative flex tip and easy-grip triangle shape for effortless no-limit lining that lasts.
Your new be-all, end-all for lining eyes, Flyliner Longwear Liquid Eyeliner delivers everything you want in a liner, and then some. Experience the crisp color intensity of a liquid plus the glide of a gel in one longwearing, water-resistant formula that dries fast and won’t fade or transfer until you say when.
Featuring a smart triangle shape that makes it easy to hold, Flyliner’s all about eye-opening drama—minus the stress. It all comes down to its super-flex felt tip, an exclusive Fenty Beauty eyeliner innovation that allows for smooth, uninterrupted ink flow from every angle. In other words? A hyper-saturated satin finish with each and every stroke—no dragging, skipping, or having to retrace your steps.
Rihanna even perfected Flyliner’s tapered precision point with all eye shapes in mind, with an extra long, flexible tip designed for max versatility. Create fine lines, thick flicks, and everything in between. This is no-limit lining at its finest.
I love pen tipped eyeliners, I find them the easiest to to do winged liner. With the triangle shaped pen, it is easy to hold and create a wing. The pen itself is very flexible, and the colour intensity is extremely pigmented.
I like this eyeliner pen, the only downside I’ve found is that if you have oily lids they need to be primed and set or the liner will transfer. It is also a satin finish, which I didn’t realise until I’d bought it. Personally I prefer a matte eyeliner, but the finish isn’t really noticeable from a far or in pictures.
Whilst the nib of the pen is very flexible and is easy to create a wing, I find the more I’ve used the pen the product doesn’t always reach the nib. Which can be annoying having to go over the wing a few times to get the perfect flick.
Flyliner is smudge resistant and doesn’t budge if I accidentally rub my eyes. I also find it very easy to wipe away any mistakes made when doing a wing liner as well as at the end of the day with a cleanser and muslin cloth.
Overall I do like this eyeliner pen, I find it very easy to create a wing. Would I repurchase, I’m not sure. As much as I like it, I prefer a matte liner but that is the only fault I can give it. What’s your go to eyeliner? Let me know in the comments!
