Coincidently I went shopping in Bristol a week before lockdown, there were rumours that the country would be put on lockdown, I had been wanting to go shopping regardless as I wanted to pick up some new things. We had just timed it that the coronavirus was starting to hit the UK and everyone was starting to panic buy.
I went to Bristol and had a few shops I knew I wanted to go to and pick up some more makeup bits. May sound silly, but I wanted to pick up an extra few things so if we did go on lockdown I’d have some things to keep me occupied (and feel normal). At the time the lockdown was only rumours.
From Fenty I went a bit crazy, Fenty is a brand I have been wanting to try more of. So I picked up their Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer, Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Concealer, Matchstick in Mocha, Yacht Life and Starstruck, Fenty Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow, Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Setting Powder and I also picked up the Diamond Bomb Baby Mini Face and Lip set. I have tried a few of them and I have so far been really liking them!
From Urban Decay I picked up another All Nighter Setting Spray as Debenhams has 20% off and their Stay Naked Concealer in 40NN as I really like the Stay Naked Foundation so wanted to see how the concealer did.
From Primark I picked up more of my favourite lashes the Sosu by SJ are my go to and the styles I picked up were Paris, Milan, Dubai and New York. I also picked up a new top from Topshop, and a pair of trousers and a jacket from Bershka. But they were the only clothing pieces I picked up.
Fast forward a few weeks and we are on lockdown. I did okay the first two weeks without ordering anything new and keeping myself busy. But by the third week I needed a pick me up, and if we weren’t going to be allowed outside for a little while yet I decided it was time for a treat.
Peaches & Cream is a brand I had been wanting to try for a little while, they sell a whole array of stunning pigments. Initially I was only going to get 3, as they have bundle offers of a set of 3, 6 or 10 pigments. But I changed my mind, I had seen them swatched on their instagram and decided to just go for the bundle of 10 pigments. I chose the shades: Banana Boat, Factor 50, Maliblue, Pink Panther, Luxe, Kitten, Venom, Space Hopper, Planet Peach and Mermaze. I have used all of them now and they are all stunning! They really make any makeup look pop! You can see what other looks I’ve done using these pigments (as well as the other makeup I’ve bought) over on my Instagram!
From Beauty Bay I finally bought myself the bPerfect x Makeup with Jah Clientele palette, I have been eyeing the palette up for the longest time. So being stuck at home meant it was finally time to play with some new shadows! I also picked up some new brushes from Beauty Bay’s own brand.
So far that’s everything I have got during quarantine. I have been tempted to pick up a few more makeup pieces and clothing bits, but with everything (at the time of writing this) changing daily I just didn’t want to keep ordering all the time and possibly having to make trips to the post office, even though it’s nice to have that little parcel to look forward to! As I’m really getting back into blogging, I’m sure I’ll have reviews up of some of these soon so don’t forget to follow me to get notified of new posts!
