Eyeshadow palettes are another makeup product I love to try, there are so many formulas and finishes it can be a little overwhelming to know which to go for! Last year when I was looking to add a colourful palette to my collection, the one I kept seeing over and over again was the Carnival palette from the bPerfect collaboration with Stacey Marie Makeup Artist.
So of course it made its way into my collection, for £40 the palette is described as:
Created with one of the UK’s leading amazingly talented make up artists Stacey Marie – The Carnival Palette is an explosion of highly pigmented colours and shimmers that will unlock your inner creativity for face and eyes.
- 17 Vibrant Matte Eye-shadows
- 7 High Pigment Shimmers
- 2 Highlighters
I picked mine up from Beauty Bay but you can also get it on the bPerfect website. This was my first expensive colour palette, I had bought a few drugstore ones but the colour pay off for me was never to the intensity I wanted. So I jumped on the Carnival bandwagon and haven’t looked back since! You can check my instagram out for more colourful looks using this palette!
There are a range of colours in this palette, and the colour story in this palette makes it aesthetically pleasing to look at. With 17 mattes and 7 shimmers, there are endless looks that can be created from bold to everyday makeup. I really like that they have created a colourful and neutral palette, perfect for anyone who wants to experiment more with colour or who just loves makeup!
Each pigment is as pigmented as the next, and all super easy to blend and build up pigment. You really only need to lightly dip your brush in to pick up each matte pigment and they are really easy to build up the intensity, and for the shimmers I prefer to use my ring finger to apply them to the lid.
The only thing I’d say is missing from this palette is a black and white shadow, other than that I really love this palette, it has helped me to get creative with looks I do as well as being great for a quick everyday look.
If you haven’t already got on this hype, then you need to! What’s your favourite palette, let me know in the comments below!
