It has been a while since I have done a favourites post! As I have tried a lot of new makeup and brands since lockdown, I wanted to show you the brands and products I have been obsessed with using over the last few months!
Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum
I bought this as my skin went crazy during lockdown. I had really bad acne (which I’ve never had before) and it took a lot of getting used to and trying my best not to pick my skin! I had seen a lot of people rave about this little bottle so decided to give it a go.
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask
Another purchase to try to help my skin, the texture had changed a lot and it went to be really dry. I bought the mini version of this mask and whilst it is small for £22 you really don’t need to use a lot. It has been a welcome addition to my skincare routine, I use this once a week alongside my other masks and I really notice a difference when I wake up after using this!
ELF Poreless Putty Primer
I finally got my hands on this and it did not disappoint! It is amazing for smoothing the skin out on pores and giving the perfect base! Whilst I don’t like that you have to dip your finger into a pot to get the product, it is probably one of the best primers I have ever used! Plus it’s super affordable!
Peaches & Cream Pigments
I bought so many of these lil guys during lockdown, they are so stunning on the skin and come in so handy for every type of look! They have so many shades to choose from whether you want a bright pop of colour or a glittery gold. Super easy to apply and probably one of my favourite products in my collection! They can be built up too, you can go from a subtle shimmer to a super pigmented glitter on the eye depending on how much you pick up on the brush! Couldn’t recommend them more!
p.Louise Acid Reign x Mmmmitchell Blank Canvas
When p.Louise had 30% off I finally decided to pick this lil guy up as so many makeup artists raved about how it changed the game for cut creases. If you follow me on Instagram you’ll know how much I love a good cut crease! And boy does this change the game! It is the best product I have ever used for cut creases, so easy to pack on, makes the shadows on top pop and is easy for shadows to blend out on top of. When I first got it I though the tube was quite small for what I paid, but when I started using it I realised only a tiny amount is needed, I’ve already used it so many times and barely made a dent in it! If you’re into your makeup like I am you definitely need this, whether for cutting the crease or as a base for shadow on top. The only thing is that it is a thick product and I would recommend using an oil based makeup remover to get it off!
bPerfect x Jah Clientele Palette
It took me a while to get on with this palette, as someone who loves to play with colour I didn’t reach for this often. But when I fancied doing a super smokey winged liner one day, I really changed my mind on this palette. It has all the brown shades you’d ever need, plus pops of colour. The shadows are sooo easy to blend as well as to build up pigmentation. Not to mention how buttery and dreamy the foiled shadows are, they are so stunning on their own! I have been reaching for this palette more and more and I always reach for it when I’m going out on a date/dinner out!
I am a sucker for lashes! So when lockdown hit and I couldn’t get my fave SOSU ones from Primark I decided to branch out and try a new brand. I had seen Prima lashes a lot on my instagram and so decided to give them a try when they had 60% off all their lashes. I picked up 7 pairs for £20!! They have a variety of mink and silk lashes, of course I chose the silk ones and they are stunning! They are so easy to put on and feel so lightweight, they don’t irritate my eyes and the band is really flexible. They are super affordable and they always have sales site wide, I am obsessed with them and can’t wait to get my hands on more!
Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner in Brown
I have been obsessed over the last few months with adding on faux freckles when I do makeup looks. I just love how they look and it really adds to a look. I had been using a brown eye pencil and it wasn’t cutting it for me, so I picked this up and I haven’t put it down since! Initially the freckles can look obvious, but it’s easy to make them look less bold by patting the foundation brush/sponge over the top and going over the area with the same brush used to apply setting powder. It takes off the boldness of the initial application. It’s super affordable and so easy to use!
That’s it for my favourite products I have been using over the last few months, I didn’t want to add loads and these are the products that have really stood out to me! What products have you been loving to use? Thanks for reading
