I have been thinking about writing this for a little while as I enjoy reading these types of posts. I have a few products in my collection that really didn’t live up to the hype or didn’t work for me. Whilst this is part of buying makeup and finding things that work for you, it can still be annoying especially if it was high end.
I don’t know about you but I love watching my favourite YouTubers and reading blog posts. And when they rave about their favourite products multiple times, I can’t help but add them onto my mental list of makeup I would love to own. So naturally when I see products YouTubers/bloggers have been using they usually end up coming home with me. So without further ado here are the things YouTubers and bloggers made me buy!
2016 has been a crazy year for me. I have some highs as well as lows and as for makeup my collection has exploded. I bought the majority of my makeup this year, mainly as I have replaced it with newer items and some I just couldn’t resist not having in my collection! I saw this tag on Jaclyn Hill’s YouTube and I love this tag! If you haven’t already seen it the idea Jaclyn came up with was that if you were stuck on a desert island and could only take one piece of makeup from each makeup category, which items would they be?
I first saw this highlighting palette on Jaclyn Hill’s snapchat a few weeks ago and whilst browsing my local Boots Sleek counter a week later I couldn’t walk out without it. I swatched the palette quickly on my hand and holy cheeseballs, this palette is hot fire!
As a girl who has slightly more tanned skin than a ghost, I find it incredibly hard to find a highlight that doesn’t look too dark on my cheekbones. Within my local drug store I find it incredibly difficult to find a highlighter that isn’t too dark and looks like sparkly bronzer or a light shade that gives a subtle highlight.
