Hello everyone and happy Valentines Day! I hope you all have a fab Valentines no matter if your single or in a relationship. I have spent my day curled up at home as I had my wisdom tooth taken out yesterday. So I’m feeling a little sorry for myself! Anyway, today I am back with another comparison review of a high end and drugstore product! After I finished a tube of Urban Decays Primer Potion I thought I would try a drugstore version of an eye base. I was curious to see if the drugstore version would be as good as the Urban Decay base. I decided to try the NYX HD Eyeshadow base.Continue reading
Brows are such a personal thing. Everyone has their own preferred technique and style. As someone who is constantly late to beauty bandwagons I took my time in trying out a brow pomade. I always thought they were made for people with sparser and thinner brows than me as on social media those were the only people I saw use them. I never saw anyone with thicker brows use them, but eventually curiosity got the better of me and I decided to try one out. Brow pencils and brow pomades give a totally different finish and I thought it would make a great comparison.Continue reading
Hello everyone, I hope you are having a fab festive season! I have been busy wrapping presents and getting as much uni work done before tomorrow so I can relax for a few days! Every 6 months or so I like to go through my collection and really have a good sort out of what I’ve been using, what may have expired and makeup I just haven’t reached for. So with the end of year fast approaching I emptied my entire makeup collection onto my bedroom floor and went through everything.
Hello everyone, with Christmas getting closer I was inspired to do a festive red and gold makeup look!Read more
Hello, I’m back today with my current fave autumn/winter lip shades! As the cooler weather has been setting in here in the UK I have dug out my berries and brown tones and I am loving wearing them again. Seems like forever since I wore a berry red lip! I have rounded up all my favourite shades I have been loving wearing recently, so let’s get started!
After going through my makeup collection and rearranging how I organise my collection, I realised there were a number of products I either don’t reach for any more or just never use. So I thought what better way to make use of them and see if I still like them than to do a makeup look with them!
There are a few products I haven’t included as there are either none in my collection I don’t like or none I have I don’t use. Products used to create this look;Continue reading
Within the beauty community there are always drugstore products being compared to high end products and vice versa. So when I saw a few people I watch on YouTube saying they preferred the NYX Matte Liquid Liner to the Kat Von D Tattoo Liner aka my fave, I knew I wanted to try it. Not only because it’s £7 but also because I am looking to replace my Tattoo Liner as I disagree with Kat’s choice for not vaccinating her child – but that’s a different story.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve gone shopping shopping and not just picking up repurchases of faves. My last haul was in August, and over the last few weeks I’ve been making the most of different skincare and makeup offers that have been floating about. So I thought I would share with you the goodies that have made it into my collection!Continue reading
Hello everyone! Today I am doing a blog post that I don’t think I have done before; a full face using my favourite products from the drugstore! It could also be called My Staple Drugstore Products, but companies are always evolving and bringing out something new. So it’s difficult to say this one thing will always be my staple when it might not be in a few months time. Some are more mid-range within the drugstore but they can all be bought for under £15! So without further ado here is a makeup look using all my current favourites!
I decided to use a green liner as I don’t have a drugstore black one that I love, and I love to use the Vivid Brights from NYX as they are easy to use and add a pop of colour to any makeup look!Continue reading
Hello everyone, with the weather becoming somewhat colder and the skies greyer it inspired me to do this smokey eye I saw Desi Perkins do on her channel. It reminded me of the cloudy skies we’ve been having here in the UK.
Starting with the smokey eyes using a charcoal grey and black on the outer corner, smoking it out to a cat eye before adding on a shimmering grey on the lid of the eye. Blending out the charcoal grey and black on the lower lash line too. I then added lashes and black liner on water line. I then did the rest of my makeup, keeping the lips neutral to focus the look on the eyes.Continue reading
