The corona virus has hit the UK and we are currently just about to go into the second week of lockdown. Most shops are shut, so are restaurants and small businesses. It still seems crazy to me that the virus has had such an impact all over the world.Continue reading
Today’s post is something I haven’t done before here on my blog. Everyone has insecurities, whoever you ask there will be something they’d like to change. For me, one of my insecurities I’ve had since I was a teen is my boobs.Continue reading
Hello, it has been a while since I uploaded a haul. As I treated myself to a few goodies over Christmas and in the new year, I though I would share with you what I’ve picked up over the last month or so!Continue reading
Do you ever get the feeling where you feel like the person you were even 12 months ago wasn’t you? The person you were 12 months ago seems like a distant far off version of yourself, a skin that has been shed long ago.Continue reading
Hi everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying the run up to Christmas! It actually snowed where I live, which it hasn’t done in years! Today I wanted to go over a few things that I do to help me when I’m feeling anxious. Every now and then I do a post on how I’m feeling/dealing with my mental health. Which I usually write as I am feeling anxious. So I thought I would write a post on how I actually deal with feeling anxious and not just those thoughts during the time of feeling it.
Since everything in my life has been a lot less hectic and I am getting better at balancing everything, I thought it was about time I did this post. Originally I wanted to do a giveaway for when I hit 2,000, but when I hit 2,000 it was in the middle of everything going on over the summer. So I decided to wait until everything had settled and I was feeling more positive about life.Continue reading
Hi guys! I have been thinking lately about starting the first series here on my blog all things I have learnt over the past few years and I wanted to share tips to help you do the same. As much as I love makeup and the beauty world, something also important to me is mental health. It’s so easy to become bogged down in everyday life and get caught up in things.
I’m really bad at letting a negative mindset affect my mood and my day. Like I can’t shake that feeling off, it’s like this jacket of negativity is glued to me. Whether the cause of the jacket being put on is down to what someone has said to me, if my blog has a slow day or I feel negative about what I’m doing with my life. Those things can all be solved. Having a negative mind won’t get me any closer to being happier or those problems being solved. So these are some of the things I do to change my negative mindset that I have learned over the past few years.Continue reading
Hi everyone and happy Friday! This is my 100th blog post here on Amethyst Rose Beauty, which is pretty crazy because it doesn’t feel like I’ve done 100 of them! I absolutely love blogging and I’m excited to see where the journey continues to take me! My blogging schedule has been off for the past few weeks as I’ve been pretty busy offline. Next week should be the week it starts getting back to normal!
Although we are now 8 days into the new year and I have written up goals I want to achieve in the next 357 days. I was on the fence on whether it was too late to write this post, but it’s better late than never. 2016 for me was a really crazy year, I know a lot of people have been saying how bad it has been for them and on some things I can agree. I’ve had some pretty tough things go on in my life last year that I never envisioned at the beginning of 2016.
But in all honesty I’m glad I had to deal with tough times because life isn’t always happiness and sunshine (as much as Id like it to be). The toughest thing 2016 brought was being unemployed for a short spell, by unfortunate luck both Tom and myself around the same time. I’ve been working for 5 years and it was so difficult to secure a full time job. Employers either wanted more experience or I had too much. It was a never ending cycle and each interview I began to loose hope that someone would employ me. I also tried working in different environments that didn’t suit me and I realised how nasty some people can be just because I’m different from them. Luckily I started a new job last Autumn and T is about to start his tomorrow.Continue reading
