Things I Do To Help Deal With Anxiety

Hi everyone! Hope you’re all enjoying the run up to Christmas! It actually snowed where I live, which it hasn’t done in years!  Today I wanted to go over a few things that I do to help me when I’m feeling anxious. Every now and then I do a post on how I’m feeling/dealing with my mental health. Which I usually write as I am feeling anxious. So I thought I would write a post on how I actually deal with feeling anxious and not just those thoughts during the time of feeling it.

Letting Things Go

Like most material things in life they come and go through our lives. Some things stay with us forever, reminding us of childhood memories or important moments in our lives. Some are only there until they are broken or no longer serve their purpose.  And other objects fall into a category where they have memories attached to them, like little balloons following them where ever they go, yet are too difficult to let go of even if they’re hardly used.

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017

Although we are now 8 days into the new year and I have written up goals I want to achieve in the next 357 days. I was on the fence on whether it was too late to write this post, but it’s better late than never. 2016 for me was a really crazy year, I know a lot of people have been saying how bad it has been for them and on some things I can agree. I’ve had some pretty tough things go on in my life last year that I never envisioned at the beginning of 2016.

Positivity

Staying positive is something I am constantly working on. Recently I have been going through some tough times and remaining positive throughout has been hard. Whilst I try not to let my negative thoughts about why it went wrong/criticising myself for not being good enough. I’m only human and these thoughts can be consuming and I become my own worst enemy.
